Patrick “Pat” Louis Simpson, 59, Lake Tapawingo, MO passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, September 9, 2018. Memorial services will be conducted by Pastor Victor Sullivan at 10 am, Friday, Sept. 14 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; cremation. Visitation will follow the service until noon.
Patrick was born on December 2, 1958 to Charles and Rita (Sixta) Simpson. Pat was employed at Associated Wholesale Grocers for 40 years as a Corporate Router working in their Kansas City, Kansas and Fort Worth facilities. Patrick was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father and grandchildren Blake & Avery Davis. Survivors include his loving wife Diana Garza Simpson, mother Rita Simpson, son Brandon P. Simpson and wife Lauren, daughter Kara L. Mulinix and husband Jeremy; step- children Amber Davis and husband Brent and David Garza; grandchildren Jaden, Grayson and Charlotte Mulinix. Scarlett and Victoria Simpson and Emily Trevino. Pat was one of nine children. His siblings include Cynthia Masters, Charles Simpson II, Mary Ann Schmitz, Paul Simpson, Vincent Simpson, Elaine Hoffman, Glen Simpson and Lisa Liston as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members.
