Gary Singleton, 78, of Blue Springs, MO passed away January 13, 2016. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. followed by a 12:00 p.m. service at First Baptist Church of Blue Springs, 4500 Little Blue Parkway, Independence, MO, 64057. Gary was born on October 15, 1937 to Rupert and Zena Singleton. He was a career accountant and was widely known as “The Voice of the Wildcats”. He announced football and basketball games for Blue Springs High School for 41 years. He loved his family, golf, and was a “ruthless” Mizzou fan. Gary was also a member of the Blue Springs Country Club and First Baptist Church of Blue Springs. He will be remembered by his wife Andrea Bray; children Michael Singleton and wife Melissa, Michele Parker, Graham Bray, Chris Bray, Scott Bray, and Stephanie Bray; his brother Bill Singleton; and 6 grandchildren: Jacob Singleton, Jesse Singleton, Rebecca Parker, Rowan Bray, Gavin Bray, and Brooks Bray.
