Leonard L. Skaggs, Sr.

Leonard L. Skaggs, Sr., 96, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, October 21, 2004. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 am Wednesday, October 27th at St. Mary�s Catholic Church; with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. A Rosary will be said at 7 pm Tuesday, with visitation following until 8:30 pm, at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Leonard was born December 20, 1907 in Grove, OK. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army infantry, Rainbow Division. Leonard was a mechanic with Folger�s in Kansas City, retiring after 31 years. Leonard was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Skaggs, a son, Frances "Buck� Skaggs, and four brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, Leonard L. Skaggs, Jr. and wife Thomasena of Independence, MO; grandchildren, Michael L. Skaggs, Patrick S. Skaggs, and Janet M. Davisson; six great grandchildren.
