Travis Skelton

Travis K. Skelton, 42, Independence, MO died unexpectedly Nov. 3, 2010. Memorial services will be held at 2 pm, Monday, Nov. 8, 2010 at South Crysler Community of Christ; cremation. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Camp Doniphan Pool Fund, c/o S. Travis was born Feb. 26, 1968 in Independence, MO. He graduated from Ft. Osage High School in 1986, was an Eagle Scout from Troop #278 and a member of the South Crysler Congregation. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He served at many area restaurants through the years and enjoyed working with the public. His hobbies included decorating and cooking.
Travis was preceded in death by his grandparents Vernon Skelton, Sr., Travis & Thelma Morgan. He is survived by his parents Robert and Melody Skelton, of the home; grandmother Ruth Skelton, Harrisonville, MO; aunts Holly Rabourn and husband Dennis, Butler, MO; Linda Donnelson and husband Wayne, Springfield, MO; uncle Vernon Skelton, San Francisco, CA; David Skelton and wife Connie, Warrensburg, MO; Roger Skelton, Independence, MO and several cousins. He is also survived by his special four-legged friend Cinder - his miniature schnauzer.
