Michael Allen "Mike" Skiles

Michael Allen Skiles, 60, of Grain Valley, MO passed away at home on Monday February 27, 2022.
Michael was born to Allen Skiles and Anna Guerber on November 18, 1961, in Kearney, NE. They at the age of 3 move to the Independence, MO area and then he moved on with his mother and stepfather, Jim Guerber, to Webb City, MO where he graduated in 1980.
After graduation, Mike joined the US Navy and traveled the world. Mike returned to Missouri to work several years at Bayer Crop Science and then moved on to 20 years at Lake City Army Ammunition.
Mike is survived by his wife of 33 years Colleen Skiles. They have two children Morgan Walls of Buckner, MO and Derek Skiles of Oahu, Hawaii. Mike has two grand children Aubrey Walls and Asher Walls. Mike is survived by his Mother Anna Guerber and his stepfather Jim Guerber. He is also survived by two brothers William (Bill) Skiles and his wife Sarah Skiles of Monet, MO and other brother Jay Guerber and his wife Cindy Guerber of Lincoln, NE. Mike also has several nieces and nephews and his lifelong friend of 40 years John Garcia.
Mike will be laid to rest at the Higginsville Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO at a later date.
He is proceeded in death by his father Allen Skiles and his wife Pat Skiles as well as his stepsister Cathy.
