Dorothy Marguerite Skinner, 92, of Independence, MO passed away Mon. Apr. 18, 2005 at The Groves Living Center. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wed, Apr. 20, 2005 at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Contributions are suggested to The Groves Auxiliary Wheelchair Fund, 1415 W. White Oak, Indep. MO 64050. Dorothy was born on Oct. 22, 1912 to Arthur and Berniece (Hobson) Brackenbury in Kansas City, MO and was a lifelong area resident. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed. Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd B. Smith in 1974, her second husband, William R. Skinner in 1984, a daughter, Deanna Braden in 2001 and by her parents, one brother, Vernon Brackenbury and a sister, Helen Martin. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Hymes of Independence, MO and son-in-law, Charles Braden of Trimble, MO. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Mike Thomas and wife Elaine of Oak Grove, MO, Dr. Kathryn Minton and husband Mark of Dallas, TX, Dana Bradley and husband Chuck of Lee�s Summit, MO, Kimberly Braden of Trimble, MO, Kelley Maley and husband John of Camp Hill, PA, and Erik Braden of LaGrange, NC. Ten great grandchildren, Nathan Thomas, Gary Thomas, Amy Thomas, Elizabeth Minton, Laura Minton, Benjamin (Braden) Preston, Jamie (Braden) Preston, Mark (Maley) Giza, Thomas (Maley) Giza and Cody Braden.
