Beverly Kay (Buser) Skolaut, 86, of Independence, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Visitation will be held from 10-11am on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd., Independence, MO. Rosary will be prayed at 11am, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64138. Services are open, but a face mask must be worn inside the church. Beverly was born April 27, 1934 in Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Mary (Krittenbrink) Buser; her husband of 51 years, Earl Skolaut; two brothers, Willis Buser, Jr. and Theodore Byrne Buser; and her daughter, Mary. She will be deeply missed by the family she leaves behind, son Kenneth Skolaut and daughter Karen (Alan) Short, Lee’s Summit, MO; daughters Linda (Don) Dunaway, Laurie (Roy) Bennett, Ann (Mark) Lucas, and Vicki (Allen) Rew, Independence, MO; 12 grandchildren, Brandon Thompson, Eric Thompson, Austin Short, Kaitlin Salyer, Jessica Keith, Andrew Bennett, Megan Roth, Alex Rew, Nikki Colletti, Emily Lewis, Callie Farrell, and Mandi Thompson; and 16 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly’s memory may be made to the Sisters of St. Frances, 2100 N. Noland Rd., Independence, MO 64050.
