Vivian Slinker

Vivian Slinker, 70 of Independence, MO passed away, Wed. Nov 16, 2005 at the Independence Regional Health Center. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Slinker was born on Aug 18, 1935 to John & Ruth (Hardin) Galatis in Kansas City, MO. She was a life long area resident and was of the Assembly of God faith. Vivian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time fishing with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ralph Galatis. She is survived by her husband Guy Slinker. Daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Steve Fried. Two sons, Francis L. Cox, Jr and Guy D. Slinker, Jr. Two beautiful grandchildren, Frank L. Cox III and Lindsey Nichole Cox. Three dear sisters, Jacqueline Daniels and husband Bill, Lillian Pedersen and Thelma Ferrell and husband Kenneth. Also by many special nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
