Billie L. Slocum

Billie L. Slocum, 80, of Belton, MO passed away Friday, July 15, 2005. Services will be 3 pm Tuesday, July 19th at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 to 3 pm at the Chapel. Billie was born September 25, 1924 in Morris, OK to George and Maudie Wood. She was a salesperson with Sears for several years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Blue Ridge Baptist Temple. Billie is survived by her husband, Arthur Slocum; son, Bill Traywick of Belton, MO; daughter, Sharon DeLap of Brandon, FL; stepsons, Dwight and Craig Slocum; former husband, Clyde Traywick; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a sister, Grace Carey of Okmulgee, OK.
