Dolores Catherine Smith, 80, of Independence, MO passed away March 23, 2018. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Dolores was born September 21, 1937 in Pittsburg, PA to Andrew and Anna (Stojhovich) Weber. She was a member of Summit Grove Community of Christ Congregation, where she was an ordained teacher. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Smith; and four siblings. She is survived by her three children, Andrew, Ronald and Adam Smith; nephews and niece, Ben, Nathan and Nina Smith; brothers, Andrew, Raymond and Frank Weber; and brother-in-law, Tom Smith and wife Evelyn.
