Phillip S. "Phil" Smith

Phillip Smith, 67, of Grain Valley, MO passed away May 10, 2017. A private memorial gathering will be held for his family and close friends. Phil was born December 6, 1949 in Kansas City, MO to Allen and Betty (Davis) Smith. He was a veteran of the United States Army; and then worked for Pitney Bowes for 35 years, until his retirement. Phil loved the outdoors, family gatherings, and so enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Donna Scott; and one brother, Michael Smith. Phil is survived by his wife of 44 years, Deanna Smith; son, Shawn Smith; daughter, Heather Roach; two grandchildren, Rileigh Smith and Braxton Roach; sister, Madeline Noud; and brother, Allen Smith.
