Roger K. Smith, 67, of Raytown, Missouri passed away Friday, April 8, 2022.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Carson speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence MO 64050. Family will greet guest between the hours of 6-8pm. Funeral services will take place, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 2pm also held at Carson Speaks Chapel.
Roger was born June 16, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri and spent his life in this area. He graduated from East high school in 1972 and received a Board of Trustee’s Scholarship from the Penn Valley Community College where he majored in math and science. Roger had several types of jobs before he began his career in the electrical industry in 1973. Roger’s electrical employers included Worldwide Manufacturer, Distributors, Manufacturer’s Representative, and Panel Builder/Systems Integrator. Roger had a large number of acquaintances and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; one brother; many aunts, and uncles; sister-in-law, Darlene. Roger is survived by his brother, Ralph; he counted his blessings every day starting with his wife, of the home Barbara; children, Chad Smith, Andrea (Mark) Munson; stepchildren, Alex (Natosha) Riley, John Paul Riley, Cassandra (Rein) Richmond; Erin (Chris) Fitzgibbon; grandchildren, Rebecca, Wyatt, Hailey, Isabelle, Madison, Aidan, Sophia, Elizabeth, Rylee, Makayla, Lola, Kennedy.
