Roy W. Smith, 80, Independence, MO, formerly of Brookfield, MO, died Nov. 3, 2005. Graveside services will be 2 pm, Sat. Nov. 12 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield, MO. Visitation will be 7 - 8:30 pm, Friday at Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence, MO. Roy was born Feb. 19, 1925 in Brookfield and grew up there. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley L. (Diem) Smith and sons, Loren Smith, Lance Smith, daughter Sondra Smith, and sister Frances Flynn. He is survived by son Justin R. Smith, Independence, MO and brother, Ray Smith, Columbia, MO
