Thelma Lucille Smith

Lucille Smith, 89, of Kansas City, MO passed away on April 22, 2006. A Memorial service will be 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Inurnment in Union Star, MO. The family suggest contributions to the Barry Christian Church Food Pantry in honor of Lucille Born August 22, 1916 in Union Star to Elbert H. and Elsie (Ballentine) Garrett, after high school she made her home in Independence. She was a member of the 1st Christian Church for 60 years, and most recently Barry Christian Church. Lucille was a business manager with the Girl Scout Council for over 30 years, before she opened TCI travel agency on Noland Road. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and sporting events, but her greatest love was for that of her family. Lucille is preceded in death by her husband Charles H. Smith. Survivors include daughter, Jane Howard; 2 grandsons, Jeff Howard and Tim Howard; 3 great grandsons, Michael Howard, Derrek Howard, and Tyler Howard; and 1 great great grandson, Isaiah Howard.
