MO, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014. A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 30, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, at Schofield Cemetery in Halfway, MO. Wayne was born October 24, 1932 in Halfway, MO to Oliver and Gladys (Lambeth) Smith as one of two children. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Barbara (Barham) in October of 1952. Wayne worked as a truck driver for Milgram Food Stores until his retirement in November of 1986. He enjoyed fishing with his friends and especially RV traveling with his wife. He is loved and will be missed. Wayne is survived by wife, Barbara of the home; sister-in-law, Clarice Heffington of Conway, AR; nieces and nephews, Sandy and Leroy Riggs, Charles and Mona Hodge, Otis Ray, Mike Heffington, and James Lee and Tammie Heffington, Delores Wheat, Dennis and Fatiha Smith, Kathy and Terry Keeton; twenty eight great nieces and nephews spanning four generations; and numerous friends who will miss him.
