Benjamin Newton Snadon, 64 of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2022 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lees Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Burial with full military honors will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Raytown, MO. There will be a rosary recited at 9:30 a.m., Friday with visitation to follow until service time at the church. Benjamin was born March 23, 1958 in Mt. Vernon, MO to Benjamin and Lena I. (Shields) Snadon. He had worked as a machinist for Brunson Instrument Company. He enjoyed all kinds of yard work including cutting trees and gardening, Fishing, camping and cooking. He was a family man that enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. In his younger life he was quite an athlete and still holds some school records at Seneca High School in Seneca, MO. He was also a car enthusiast and had a fondness for fast cars. He attended Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Survivors include; his loving wife, Maria Snadon of the home; 2 daughters, Stephanie Escutia and husband Francisco of Lee’s Summit, MO and Candace Snadon of Waco, TX; 2 sons, Benjamin A. Snadon of Abilene, TX and Benjamin R. Snadon and wife Christian of Independence, MO; 5 siblings, Mike Moore of Oklahoma, Claire Moore of Carthage, MO, Dennis Snadon of Southwest City, MO, Penney Gibson of Webb City, MO and Joyce Porter of Neosho, MO and 6 grandchildren, Halo, Heaven, Benjamin, Saint, Cruz and Addison.
