Marchetta Sneed

Marchetta Sneed, 92, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A service will be held at 10am on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the chapel.
Marchetta was born on June 7, 1925 in Jefferson City, MO to Charles and Gracie (Gilmore) Schanuth. She worked several years as a waitress and also as a food distributor at Sam’s Club and other local food stores. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary. In her free time she loved going to the casino but most of all she loved attending family functions.
Marchetta will be remembered by her daughter Judy Hedges of Independence, MO; son Paul Sneed and wife Elaine of Grain Valley, MO; daughter Rebecca Neselroad and husband Raymond of Independence, MO; son James Sneed of Warsaw, MO; brother Kenneth Schanuth of Redding, CA; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; plus many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, 7 brothers and her husband.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Central Bank of the Midwest c/o Judy Hedges 11206 E 24 Hwy, Sugar Creek, MO, 64054.
