Lilburn A. Snow, 93, of Independence, MO passed away December 13, 2015. A visitation will be held from 3-4:00 p.m. followed by a 4:00 p.m. service on Thursday, December 17, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Lilburn was born April 5, 1922 in Independence, MO to Lilburn R. and Cecil Snow. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in both the European and Pacific Theaters during WWII. Lilburn received his bachelor degree from Arizona State and then completed his master’s degree at KU. He worked as a psychiatric social worker during his career. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Irene Ehrenhardt, Alice Shakespeare and Vernon Snow. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Elva Snow; four sons, Glen Snow and wife Zsuzsa, Keith Snow and wife Sharon, Dennis Snow and wife Molly, Victor Snow and wife Karla; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; and two sisters, Georgie Anderson and Vera Henderson.
