Darlene Spease

Darlene L. (Wollenberg) Spease, 76, of Independence, MO, passed away Friday, November 30, 2007 at her home. A Celebration of Life gathering will be Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the home of Ronny and Mary Dowell from 1-3:00 p.m. Cremation. Darlene was born June 29, 1931 in Independence, MO to Paul and Carrie (McNeely) Wollenberg. She was a feisty red-head who had a free spirit and was known to say it like it was. Mrs. Spease enjoyed crocheting in her spare time as well as playing cards and going to the boats. She loved her family and watching her grandkids in their activities. Darlene is survived by her husband of 45 years, Wendell Spease; children Jerry Stevenson and wife Mary, Mary Dowell and husband Ronny; grandchildren Angela and Tracy Stevenson, Randy and Sesly Dowell; great-grandchildren Jagger Stevenson and Ryleigh Stevenson Doyle; brothers Gary, Clem and Tony Wollenberg; sisters Alma Bell, Lois Mitchell. Mrs. Spease was preceded in death by her brothers Bill and John Wollenberg.
