James Robert "Robbie� Speer, 37, Blue Springs, MO passed away April 22, 2006 after a valiant battle with multiple myeloma. His strength and courage will forever be an inspiration to all who knew him. Services will be 10 am, Friday, April 28, 2006 at New Life Assembly of God in Oak Grove, MO. Visitation will be 3-8 pm, Thursday at Speaks Suburban Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, www.leukemia-lymphoma.org/mid. Robbie was born Dec. 9, 1968 in Independence, MO and graduated from Blue Springs High School and CMSU, where he was a member of Lamda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was a co-owner of S & T Enterprises which he co-founded in 1996. He was also a founder of The Dream Center, a non-profit after school program and battered women�s shelter. He was a member of the New Life Church. Robbie, to say the least, was very talented and passionate in his work. He enjoyed his children, NASCAR, hunting, flying, boating, and snow skiing. Robbie is survived by his wife Amy Speer; daughter Jessica Ranae Speer; son Tyler Ryan Speer; daughter Sydney Faith Speer, all of the home; son Keith Speer, Grain Valley, MO; parents Jerri Speer-Walsh & Ed Walsh, Overland Park KS; father James R. Speer; sister Shelley R. Sossi and husband Vic, Leawood, KS; brother Jason D. Speer and wife Rachelle, Winfield, KS; sister Maggie M. Walsh, Austin, TX; brother Mick Walsh, Houston, TX; sister Ashley Martinez and husband Jon, Blue Springs, MO; grandmother Lorraine Welton, Independence, MO grandmother Evelyn M. Walsh, Cleveland OH; nieces and nephews Martese, Karissa, Michael, Chase, Connor, Storm, Chloe, and Jack. The family would like to thank all those who have supported him throughout the years and encourage everyone to continue THE FIGHT in his memory.
