Maurice F. Speiser, 84 of Independence, MO passed away, Tuesday morning, January 8, 2013 at North Kansas City Hospital. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Messiah Lutheran Church 613 S. Main St., Independence, MO 64050. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Salisbury, MO. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Donations may be made in his name to the Messiah Lutheran Church. Maurice was born January 23, 1928 in Moberly, MO to Frederick C. and Ida M. (Trippel) Speiser and graduated from Salisbury High School in 1945. He had worked as an electronics inspector for the Vendo Corporation for 26 years until the company closed. He enjoyed genealogy work and was a car enthusiast. He was a kind and gentle man who loved his family and the Lord. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. He is survived by; his loving wife of 62 years, Eleanor of the home; a daughter, Brenda Lipps and her husband Donald of Independence, MO; a son, Robert Speiser and his wife Alana of Grain Valley, MO; a sister, Nylene Linneman of Moberly, MO; grandchildren, Adam Lipps and wife Hannah, Katie Lipps, Ashley Speiser, Megan Speiser, Lindsey Parker, Lauren Parker; and one great granddaughter, Aubree Speiser. He was preceded in death by; his parents, a sister, Dorothy Faherty and a brother, Henry K. Speiser and an infant brother.
