Shirley Irene (Jones) Spencer, 88 of Independence, MO went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 16, 2022, surrounded by members of her loving family.
Shirley was born on August 17, 1933, in Liberal, MO to Olive Jones and Lorena (Pence) Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olive and Lorena Jones; sister, Lavon Cummins; husband,
John D. Spencer; sons, Johnny, Jimmy, and J.D.; and daughters. Sheila and Delene.
She is survived by sons Cliff (Pam), and Brett (Karen); daughter, Lutitia; grandchildren, Todd (Tammy), Carrie (Chad), Dustin (Allison), Debbie, Sarai (Lester), Amanda (Justin), Katie (Brandon), and Kristopher; great grandchildren, Taylor, Chayse, Jori, Audrey, Ryan, Nolan, Simon, Samuel, Sephora, Zayden, Alex, Blake, Cameron, Rosa, and Ezykiel.
A visitation and service will take place at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO 64052 on Saturday, August 27th, 2022. The family will greet guests between 9 and 10am with the service to follow at 10am.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in her name to Full Gospel Assembly, 10537 E. 6th St, Independence, MO 64053.
