Theodore Woodrow "Ted" Spencer Jr.

Theodore Woodrow “Ted” Spencer, Jr., 85, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31st from 12-2pm with a funeral following at 2pm, both at First Baptist Church Lee’s Summit, 2 NE Douglas St, Lee's Summit, MO 64063.
Interment with full military honors will be held Tuesday, January 3rd at 11:00am at Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery.

Ted was born on June 9, 1937, in Kansas City, MO to Theodore W. and LaVeta (Lang) Spencer, Sr. He attended William Chrisman High School until his Senior year, graduating class of 1956 from Van Horn High School. Ted proudly served in the United States Army and went on to have a successful career as an auditor for the IRS. He and his wife, Enid have been married for 45 years. He loved playing cards and spending his time with her. He will be greatly missed.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife, Enid; children, Robert (Mona) Bell, Jr., Charles Edwin Bell, Sr., Kathleen (Rich) Linden, Ronald G. Spencer, and Amy C. Spencer; grandchildren, Kathryn Ashley Bell, Sydney Elizabeth Bell, Sean Thomas Allen, Nicole Marie Bell, Sarah Jane Spencer, and Charles Edwin Bell, Jr.; as well as, 2 sisters, Marsha S. Dotson and Sandy S. Hart.
