Violet May Spencer (Orchid)

Violet M. Spencer, 83, Belton, MO passed away Jan. 29, 2016. Services will be 10 am, Friday, Feb. 5 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will begin 9 am before the service at the chapel. Violet was born in Colorado then her family moved to Missouri. She attended school in Mexico, MO. She was a cook and baker at the Englewood Café for twenty-five years and retired in 1992. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Independence and has lived in Belton for the past eight years. Violet was preceded in death by her husband Olin Spencer. She is survived by son Mike Baysinger, Belton, MO; sister Clara Orchid; brother Ralph Orchid, Columbia, MO; grandchildren Loni Baysinger; Mallory Baysinger; Kyle Baysinger, all of Belton, MO; great-grandsons Dakota, Memphis, Logan, Kyler, Jax; great-granddaughters Makinzy, Elliana and Kylie.
