Jeanette K. Spielbusch, 86, of Independence, MO, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017. Services will be held at the Higginsville National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with our father Joseph J. Spielbusch. The services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2017 @ Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.
Jeanette was born, February 19, 1930, in England. She met my father while he was stationed in England after the Korean conflict where they met on the river Thames and was love at first site. They were married, July 4, 1953 and lived in England the first year of their marriage then moved back to the United States in 1954. Jeanette was a homemaker but she was also a master gardener, seamstress and enjoyed crochet, knitting and ceramics.
Jeanette is survived by three daughters: Mary Schuhardt and husband Dave; Suzanne Fellers and husband Donald; Lisa Runyon and husband William. Grandson, Michael Joseph Fellers and wife Bree with great grandson Gabriel, Grandson William Runyon Jr.; Granddaughter Rosanna Thurman and husband Doug, with great granddaughter Layla Rose. Family in England, Brother Michael Bowerman and wife Silvia, niece Teresa Hinckesman and nephew Paul Bowerman, cousins Betty Axford and Audrey Archer.
