Eldon L. Spillman, 91, of Independence, MO, passed away Monday, October 27, 2003 at Independence Care Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m.Saturday, November 1, 2003, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel. Mr. Spillman was born January 18, 1912 to Samuel and Eunice Spillman, in Iola, Kansas. Eldon loved to hunt and fly fish with his friends. He retired from the Lake City Ammunition plant as a tool and die maker, after thirty years of service. Mr. Spillman attended the Stone Church and Slover Park RLDS Church. Eldon was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge of Independence for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Faun Spillman, of the home; one daughter, Lucretta Flagg, Littleton, CO; two grandsons Richard Alan Flagg and his wife Diane, Highlands Ranch, CO; Jeff Flagg, and his wife Susan, Bell Buckle, TN; four great grandchildren, Kira and Chelsie Flagg, Highlands Ranch, CO; Jace and Ashleigh Flagg, Bell Buckle, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
