Thomas Harlan Spillman, 85, of Independence, MO, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Parkview Congregation of the Community of Christ Church, 801 SW 19th St. Blue Springs, MO 64015. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery, in Lamoni, IA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice. Tom was born October 24, 1921 in Denver, CO to Wesley and Lola Emelia (Lindemann) Spillman. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Tom was a kind man with a deep relationship with the Lord. Mr. Spillman loved his wife, daughter and grandchildren dearly. He enjoyed playing golf in his spare time and had been very active in church. Mr. Spillman is survived by his wife of 61 years, Martha (Jones) Spillman; daughter Jane Hrabak and husband David; grandsons Eric Hrabak and fianc�e Amy, Cameron Hrabak and Evan Hrabak; great-grandson Tristan Hrabak; sisters Dorothy Linburg, and Ruby Lee Douglas and husband George; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends. He was preceded in death by five brothers.
