Mildred Sprague

Mildred Zion Sprague, 83, of Harrisonville, MO passed away Friday August 15, 2003 at Crown Care Center. Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday August 19, 2003 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. In lieu of sending flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children�s Mercy Hospital, 2401 Gillham Rd. Kansas City, MO 64108 or Community of Christ, 1001 W. Walnut, Independence, MO 64050. Mildred was born January 3, 1920 in Vernon, CO to Ralph and Lillie (Willoughby) Zion. She retired from Mid-Continent Library in 1985 after 29 years of service. Mildred had a heart of gold and touched many lives. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend a family could want. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Sprague in 1983. Mildred is survived by her daughter and son-in law Gail and Floyd Worley of Garden City, MO, grandsons Gary Worley (Dana), Greg Worley (Becky) and great-grandchildren Joshua, Aarika, Monika and Michael. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Ina Courtney, Raymond Zion, Lois Martin, Warren Zion and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
