Mescal Spurlock

Mescal Spurlock, 93, previously of Independence, MO, but most recently of Basehor, KS, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. A service will be held at 10am on Thursday, February 10th at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E 39th St.; Independence, MO 64055. Interment will follow at 12pm at MO State Veteran’s Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.

Mescal was born on January 5, 1929 in Roderfield, WV to Jake and Mary (Blankenship) Crabtree. She skillfully worked many years installing delicate electrical wire in airplane radios.

Mescal is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Clifford Spurlock; and her brother Bill Crabtree..

She is survived by her daughter, Edna (Glenn) Trischan of Milwaukee, WI; three sisters, Sillian (Lewis) Perry of Davin, WV, Wilma Blatt of Huntington, WV, and Linda Greene of Kansas City, MO; as well as, one brother, Dan Crabtree of Oskalossa, KS.
