Anna Srader, 88, of Independence, MO passed away peacefully on December 5, 2012 at St. Luke’s East with family by her side. She was born November 6, 1924 in Wakenda, MO to James and Jo Trixie Woolston. She worked at Montgomery Wards and became a homemaker later in life. She was a faithful member, as well as a Deacon, at First Baptist Church of Independence. She was also an active member of PTA and Headstart, and an avid arts and crafts connoisseur. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald “Toby” Srader; son, Steven “Red” Srader; three sisters; and one brother. She is survived by two sons, James Srader of Independence, MO, Ronald Srader and fiancé Vy Lai of Kanas City, KS; grandchildren, Jenny and Brett Srader of Oak Grove, MO, Vicky and Emily Lai of Kansas City, KS; one sister, Sarah (Woolston) and husband Harold Breshears of Brunswick, MO; one brother, Dale Woolston of Warsaw, MO. Anna Mary will be missed by all who were blessed with knowing her. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 10, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Suburban Chapel, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Independence.
