Robert T. "Bob� Srader, 94, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, September 6, 2003 at Carmel Hills Living Center, Independence, MO. Services 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Masonic services 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, with visitation from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers contributions to Shriners Burn Center for Children c/o Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO 64055, or to Kansas City Hospice. He was Owner-Operator of Hammer-Srader Standard Oil Service Station at 23rd and Crysler, Independence, MO for over 40 years and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #76 of Independence, for over 50 years. He was an avid gardener, sharing much of the produce with neighbors and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. The son of John Robert and Dora Velma Chrisman Srader he was born in Independence, MO on November 26, 1908. He was married to Easter Bailey in 1936 and she preceded him in death in October 1995. he was also preceded in death by five brothers, Paul, Richard (Dick), John (Bud), Chester (Chet), Donald M. (Tobe) and two sisters, Helen Garver and Alice Hines. He is survived by two daughters, Jan Houston, Independence, MO.; Vicki Bankus, Armeda, MI; five grandchildren Kathy Davis, Kim Cooper, Jeff Houston, Shauna Bagin, Tonya Ward, Four great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, one brother Harold Srader, and wife Allene, Independence, MO; three sisters, Dorothy Dobson, and husband Virgil, Independence, MO, Frances Thompson, and husband Lester, Independence, MO; and Pauline Grimm, Tulsa, OK; and three sister-in-laws, Anna Mary Srader, Janis Srader and Nova Carlton and numerous nieces and nephews.
