Glen G. Stackhouse, of Independence, MO, passed away far too soon on Friday, December 10th, 2021. He was 66. Cremation is planned with a memorial gathering to be held from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Graveside inurnment will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.
Glen was born on April 12, 1955 in Kansas City, MO. After serving for a time in the United States Army, Glen went to work in the trucking industry, first as a driver and then retiring as a dispatcher. He enjoyed time spent watching NASCAR, mowing the lawn and showing kindness to his nieces and nephews.
Glen is preceded in death by his parents, Elva “Gene” Stackhouse and Virginia (O’Shaughnessy) Fisher as well as his nephew, Joshua Stackhouse.
Glen leaves behind his sisters, Carol O’Shaughnessy of Polo, MO, Dena Stackhouse of Independence, MO, and Linda (Ron) Brady of Independence, MO; niece, Amber Rose Courter of Independence, MO; nephews, Darrel (Sondra) Wood of Polo, MO, Chad (Katrina) Vanderman of Lone Jack, MO, Marvin (Rachelle) Forbes of Kansas City, MO and Mitchell (Kate) Forbes of Ankeny, IA; 8 great nieces; 5 great nephews; 1 great-great niece, and 5 great-great nephews.
