Ruth Ann Stafford

Ruth Stafford, 53, of Independence, MO went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 39th & 291Hwy, Independence, MO, with the burial at Mound Grove Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m on Tuesday at the chapel. Contributions may be sent to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Ruth was born on September 16, 1950 to Dorn and Geraldine (Bartberger) Simmons. She was a member of the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ, Blue Springs, MO as well as working for 10 years at the Groves Nursing Home as a Registered Nurse. She was preceded in death by her father, Dorn Simmons. Ruth is survived by her husband of 32 years, James R. Stafford; three children, Renee A. Matzke, Benjamin Stafford, and Jennifer M. Stafford; her mother, Geraldine Simmons; three brothers, Larry, Mark, and David Simmons; and five grandchildren.
