Edward Inzer Stanley, 77, Independence, MO went to meet his Heavenly father on Friday, June 29, 2012 with his family at his bedside.
Edward was born June 10, 1935 in Calhoun County, AR the son of John O. and Mittie Grace (Inzer) Stanley. Edward was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving seven years and was aboard the U.S.S. Higbee. He loved seeing all parts of the world. Edward was a charter member of Daugherty Hill Baptist Church in Conway, AR. He worked for G & R Body Shop and Gears Auto Sales as a auto body technician.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years Lynda Ridge Stanley; son, John Robert Stanley; brother John O. Stanley, Jr.; and his parents.
Survivors include his sons, Darrell Stanley and wife Mary, Kenneth Stanley, Daniel Stanley and wife April; daughters, Tammy Gonzalez and husband Javier, Julia Gamber and husband Michael; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and sister Elizabeth G. Stanley Gaither.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Turner Baptist Church, 701 S. 55th Street, Kansas City, KS 66106.
