Elsie Mae Stegmaier, 85, of Kansas City, MO passed away Monday, November 27, 2006 at The Greens at Creekside. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2006 at Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 13000 Bennington, Grandview, MO 64030. Visitation will be one hour prior from 10-11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice. Elsie was born in Kansas City, MO on May 22, 1921 the daughter of Maurice Lee and Muriel (Thrailkill) Cocks. She was married to Truman Stegmaier in 1938. Mrs. Stegmaier loved being active in her community and church. She was a charter member of the Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church, participated in the St. Francis Assisi Circle, Bridge Club and the PTA. Elsie was an assembler for Pratt & Whitney during WWII. She is survived by her three sons, Frank Stegmaier of Lexington, MO, Truman Stegmaier of Los Angeles, CA., Michael Stegmaier of Houston, TX.; four grandchildren Brett, Larry, Aaron, and Joe Stegmaier, 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Anne Gray of Grandview, MO and Muriel Brown of Gahanna, OH; sister-in-law Edith Cocks of Grandview, MO. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Truman Stegmaier in 1993.
