Steven Wayne Williams II passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023. He was 41. Steven was born to Steven Williams and Shawn (McCormick) Kirkman on January 28, 1982 in Independence, Missouri.
Steven grew up in Independence, Missouri and always had a passion for entertaining crowds. He enjoyed theatre and acting. He was in several horror films and a stand-up comedian at numerous clubs in different cities. His interest in the entertainment industry led him to meet many different well known comedians and experience things he never would have otherwise. He had a zest for life. Steven never missed an opportunity to join in on a trivia or karaoke night and enjoyed his years as a bartender as well. He was funny, witty, very intelligent and clever. Steven’s presence was always known, he was easy to talk to and he’s always had a way with people. He was proud of the time he spent working with special need’s adults at Camp MoJa where he was affectionately know as “superman”. He spent several years guiding and building connections with some amazing individuals. He was also particularly proud of a role he had in the PBS documentary “Bad Blood” as a young man. Steven will be missed so very much by so many people who loved him dearly.
He is survived by his parents, Shawn Kirkman (Paul) and Steven Williams (Kay); brother, Shane Hatfield (Rebecca); his twin sister, Kelly Jo Eckler (Chris); sister, Shannon Kirkman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Steven is preceded in death by his grandparents, B.W. and Maurine McCormick, Ralph and Delores Williams and his nephew, Jacob Hatfield.
