David Edward "Bud" Stevens

David E. “Bud” Stevens, 78, Centerview, MO passed away Sept. 24. 2014. Services will be 2 pm, Monday, Sept. 29 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery, MO. Visitation will begin at 1 pm before the service at the chapel. The family requests contributions to Crossroads Hospice, 9237 Ward Pkwy, Kansas City, MO 64114. David was born Aug. 13, 1936 in Kansas City, MO. He was a member of Sheet Metal Worker’s Union Local #2 for over thirty years before his retirement. He retired to farming near Centerview, MO. He enjoyed fishing, horses, and vegetable gardening. David was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Stevens, and brother Carl Stevens. He is survived by daughter Cindy Kenepaske and husband John, Independence, MO; son Dave Stevens, Odessa, MO; sisters Marilyn Current, El Dorado Springs, MO; Ginny Woodridge and husband Fred, Grain Valley, MO; Carol Gumm and husband Earl, Calhoun, MO; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
