Marilyn was born in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was introduced to James Steward by her brother. She then married Jim and had 60 beautiful years together.
They had two children, Robin (Richard) Brockhouse and Richard (Tracy) Steward. Marilyn had 7 grandchildren; Clarissa Brockhouse, Tiffany Brockhouse, Brian Brockhouse, Joshua (Leslie) Steward, Austin Steward, Drew (Hannah) Garrett, Kara (Kylan) Roark, and four Great-Grandchildren whom she loved to talk about, and they made her smile.
Marilyn loved the cabin at the Truman Lake. She would sit and watch the birds and wildlife from her chair daily and wait for Dad to come back with his fish or deer with a smile.
She was a caring person who was always thinking of others, especially the children.
Marilyn was one of the first to receive the Cochlear Ear Implant in the Kansas City area. Now she wants to donate her implant device to help another child to hear their family, the way she was able to hear hers.
Wife, Mom and Grandma you were taken away from us too soon and we will miss you. We will see you again.
We love you.
Cremation is planned with a Celebration of Life to honor Marilyn held at a later date.
In lieu of sending flowers, the family suggests contributions to be made to either the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, the American Kidney Fund, the American Heart Association or to any organization that assists children with medical needs.
