Heather Stewart, 47, of Independence, died July 16, 2006 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-7 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Cremation will follow. Heather was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 18, 1959 the daughter of Hugh and Bobbie Wikke Stewart. She was a 1977 graduate of Truman High School and received a degree in Psychology from Rockhurst University in 1997. She was an office manager and worked alongside her father at the Hugh Stewart Construction Company. Heather loved to read books and especially enjoyed those about History. She had an unending quest for knowledge. Heather was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her two sons, Andrew Stewart of Lee�s Summit, Mo., and Hugh Kerr of Kansas City, Mo., two sisters, Holly Stewart-Reney of Independence and Hayley Stewart Carter of Charleston, S.C. and her grandfather, Ralph Wikke of Lakeland, Fl. Heather was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Elizabeth Anne Stewart in 1966, and by her grandparents, Jewell Wikke and George and Helen Stewart. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Kansas City Hospice House.
