Kathlene Stewart, 57, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO, 64055. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the chapel. Cremation will follow the service. Kathlene was born on May 17, 1959 in Independence, MO to Elgie and JoAnn Honeycutt. She married her husband Kevin on July 29, 1982. She enjoyed gardening, video games, and social media but she really loved being with her nieces and nephews. Kathlene will be remembered by her loving husband Kevin of the home; mother JoAnn Blankenship and step-father Roland of Polo, MO; sister Le Anne Eichmeier and husband Dallas of Polo, MO, sister Donna Evans of Polo, MO, brother Elgie Honeycutt, Jr. and wife Laura of Stockton, MO; half sister Gayle Honeycutt of Independence, MO; step-brother Ryan Thurman of Independence, MO; step-mother Liz Boots of Kansas City, MO; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Tina Reynolds and her father. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Research Medical Center.
