Clarence G. Stone, 88, Kansas City, MO., died June 9, 2004, at home. Services will be 10 am, Friday, June 11, 2004 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment will be at Brooking Cemetery with full Military Honors. Visitation will be 7 - 8:30 pm, Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice Foundation, 1625 W. 92nd St. K.C, MO 64114-9756 or the Noland Road Baptist Church. Clarence was born to S.G. and Sally Stone on April 20, 1916, in Livingston County, near Hale, MO. He grew up on a farm and attended country grade schools, graduating from Hale High School in 1933. He was employed at the Chevrolet-Leeds Plant for 39 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II, a member of UAW Local #93, the Mo-Kan Engine Club and the Noland Road Baptist Church where he was a deacon emeritus. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Pauline, of the home; two sons, Keith and wife, Karen, Overland Park, KS; Russell and wife, Sandi, Ft. Collins, CO; two granddaughters, Mrs. Kristi Lam and husband, Dac, K.C., MO; Miss Kari Stone and fianc�e, Bill Walker, both of New Orleans, LA; and several nieces and nephews.
