Ruth Stone

Ruth N. Stone, 89, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, April 8th at Rosewood Health Center. Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, April 13th at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery. Contributions may be made to John Knox Hospice, 400 NW Murray Rd., Lee�s Summit, MO 64081. Ruth was born July 1, 1915 in Dubuque, IA to Charles and Alta Naysmith. Mrs. Stone was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. She worked for over 30 years for Butler Manufacturing and took great pride in the work she did. Ruth loved to sew in her spare time spending countless hours attending to every small detail in order to hit perfection. Mrs. Stone is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Donald and Beverly Stone; granddaughter Angela Dornbrook and her husband James all of Independence, MO; brother-in-law Luman Parrott; nephews Dr. James Parrott and wife Helen, Gerald Parrott and wife Joanne. Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her mother Alta Naysmith, brother Charles Naysmith, sisters Blanche Parrott and Florence DeGroff.
