Gherald Gene "Jerry� Storm
Gherald Gene "Jerry� Storm, 91, of Independence died January 16, 2007 at Independence Regional Health Center. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Carson-Speaks with interment following in St. Mary�s Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. Jerry was born in Windsor Township, Illinois on September 8, 1915 the son of _____________ and Ninny Storm. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps serving during World War II and was present at the raising of the United States flag at Iwo Jima. Jerry was retired from General Motors where he was employed for over 30 years. He loved animals especially his dog Fu Man Chu (Foo Foo). Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nadine who died in 1982, a daughter Janice Ann Gibson in 2003, a twin brother and two sisters. He is survived by a daughter Rosalie Sherlock of Kansas City, Mo., seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, his companion Marnie Weaver, a niece Betty Perry of Windsor, Illinois and by his caregiver and dear friends Norma Willard and Frank Foglesong and Catherine Danna.
