Mary Francis (Morris) Story-Bellville, 85, went to be with her Lord on April 4, 2017, at Wilshire Lakewood in Lees Summit, MO.
Mary was born June 18, 1931, in Oak Grove, MO, to Grover Cecil Morris and Iva Adams (Husted) Morris. She attended elementary and high school in Oak Grove and on June 18, 1950, she married Alvin LeRoy Story. Their only child, Theresa Ann Story, died at birth. Mary was an inspector for Sears for over 20 years, and worked as a crafts teacher for Downey Duck Pre-School. Alvin passed in 1994. In July 2000, Mary moved to Heritage House. There she met Virgil Eugene Bellville. They were married May 18, 2003 and enjoyed nearly five years together until his passing in 2008. Besides her husbands and her baby girl, Mary was preceded in death by her father in 1973, her mother in 1976, two brothers: Elmer “C” Morris in 1998 and Harl Gene Morris in 2005; five sisters: Betty Doil Morris in 1933, Alice Winford Owings in 1964, Laura Lee Burrus in 1983, Cecil Lily Foster in 1995, and Thelma Louise Cutshall in 2009. She is survived by a brother-in-law, Nick Burrus of Blue Springs; sister-in-law, Ouida Morris of Independence; many, many nephews and nieces, great and great-great nephews and nieces and a few great-great-great ones; cousins, plus many old and new friends and neighbors. She loved them ALL.
Visitation will be from 12-1pm Monday, April 10, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., with graveside service at 1:30pm Monday, by Del Bauman at Mound Grove Cemetery.
