Elizabeth Jeanne “Betty” Stowell, 93, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022.
Betty was born on April 13, 1929, in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of L.Z. and Verna (Paxton) Pritchard. She attended and graduated from William Chrisman High School and attended courses at Graceland University. It was there where Betty met her best friend and the love of her life Clarence Stowell, and from their union came 3 sons. Betty was a wonderful cook and in her younger years enjoyed painting with watercolors, crocheting, reading, and had a very artistic mind. She sang beautifully and in the church mission choir, and she was also a very skilled pianist. Betty had a tremendous faith and would enjoy bible studies and being very active in her church. Family was everything to Betty and she loved them dearly. She will be deeply missed.

Betty is survived by her son Jeff (Sherilyn) Stowell; daughter-in-law Cindy Stowell; grandchildren, Tige Stowell, Angie Coleman, Ashley Stowell, David Stowell, Kimberly Bergman, Darec Stowell, Sydney Arnold; great grandchildren, Peyton Squires, Maxwell Bergman, Claire Bergman, Cruz Coleman, Jackson Coleman, Lennon Stowell, Gabrielle Arnold; many beloved extended family and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Stowell; sons, Dennis and Gary Stowell; parents, L.Z. and Verna Pritchard; brother, John Pritchard Sr

A private family interment will take place at a later date. Family suggest contributions to be made to John Knox Village Foundation, 400 NE Murray Rd., Lee's Summit, MO 64081.
