Gary Wayne Stowell

Gary Wayne Stowell, 67, of Independence, passed away Friday, January 4th, 2019. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 20th, 2019, from 2:00 - 4:00pm at the Junior Services League Clubhouse, 3122 South Crysler, Independence, MO 64055.
Gary was born January 28th 1951, to Clarence and Elizabeth (Pritchard) Stowell in Independence, MO. He did what he loved for over 40 years, caring for automobiles, first for Nulook Car Care as owner/operator, then as General Manager for NuShine Auto Wash. Although he loved cars, his dogs, and all genres of movies, he was most passionate about his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. Gary is survived by his son, David Stowell and his daughter, Kimberly (Jason) Bergman; grandchildren, Peyton Squires, Maxwell Bergman and Claire Bergman; his mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Stowell, his brothers, Dennis Stowell and Jeffrey Stowell; many extended family and friends; as well as, his beloved English Lab, Nova. He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence.
