Lorine E. Stowell

Lorine E. Stowell, 95, of Oak Grove, MO, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2007 at her daughter�s home. Lorine was born March 1, 1911 in Anamosa, IA to Ray E. and Lora May (Kerr) Beem, Sr., the fourth of sixteen children. She was a faithful member of the Community of Christ Church. Mrs. Stowell was a Nurse Assistant for Truman Medical Center for 20 years before retiring in 1975. She then went on to work another 10 years in private practice. Mrs. Stowell is survived by her son Charles E. Stowell and wife Judy, daughter Betty Watson, sons Robert Stowell, Daniel Stowell and John Lyndon Stowell; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters Ruth Hobson and Mary Saylor. Lorine was preceded in death by her husband Ira Allen Stowell in 1964; and 9 brothers, 4 sisters. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community of Christ Temple Endowment Fund or the Ararat Shrine Hospital Transportation fund.
