Christina M. Strange

Christina M. Strange, 96, passed away April 21, 2005 at the Warrensburg Manor Care Center. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Christina was born on March 24, 1909 near Odessa, MO and grew up in Holden, MO where she attended Public School, graduating from high school in 1926. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and taught in Missouri schools twenty-nine years. She was the youngest of five children born to Robert S. and Alice Underwood, all of who preceded her in death. In 1933 she married Calvin H. Strange of Butler, MO. They lived most of their fifty-eight years together in Jackson County, MO before his death in 1991. Christina moved to Odessa in 1994. In 1998, Christina moved to the Warrensburg Manor Care Center, Warrensburg, MO, where she lived up to the present time. Survivors include her stepson�s wife, Opal Strange of Oklahoma and their two children of Oklahoma. Also surviving are nieces; a nephew; several cousins; and great nieces and great nephews.
