Gregg Thomas Stransky

Gregg Stransky, 61, of Independence, MO, formally of Penn Valley, CA. and Nevada City, CA passed away July 4, 2017 at his home. Per his request cremation has taken place and a private Memorial will be held at a later date. Gregg was born on October 10, 1955 in Palo Alto, CA to Clifford and Helen (Thomas) Stransky. He was a graduate of Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, CA. For many years Gregg owned a landscaping company in CA. Although Gregg moved to the Independence area in October of this year he enjoyed exploring his new home. One of his favorite places was Union Station. He also enjoyed spending time with his great nieces, even if it was just hanging out at the pool. Gregg was a very easy going man who enjoyed helping others, making people laugh, fishing, or just being outdoors. Survivors include; mother Helen Stransky; brother Jeffrey Stransky; sister Susan Rosenquist and her husband Royd; nephew Jeremy Houle; great nieces Taylor and Brianna; his best friend Chuck Holmes; extended family and many friends. Gregg is preceded in death by his father Clifford Stansky in 2012.
