Norma Strohm passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, January 18, 2021. Norma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was absolutely the glue that molded her family and kept them together. She was hardworking, creative and artistic, having many friends that she loved to spend time and visit with over the years. A spiritual, thoughtful and caring “angel” is what she was to her family. Norma will be greatly missed by all of those who knew her. She was born December 25, 1932 to Loren and Dolly Miller in Mt. Vernon, MO and graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1950. She was married to Daryl Strohm for 68 years. They owned and operated Strohm’s Japanese Koi and Water Gardening and were members of the HOACGA (Carnival Glass Club) for many years. She is survived by; a daughter, Linda Parsons and husband Lon of Lee’s Summit, MO; grandchildren, Loni Luffman and Linden Parsons; daughter, Vicky Galetti and husband Mike of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Anthony Galetti and Brianne Galetti Dylan Headley and Logan Headley; and 6 great grandchildren, Makayla Galetti, Tristan Galetti, Landen Galetti, Fletcher Headley, Finley Headley and Bryce Luffman. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with burial to follow at Floral Hills Cemetery. The family suggests memorials in her name to St. Jude’s Hospital.
